Traveling to Canada

Canada has the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. Our plan was to attend a wedding in Calgary of some close friends of ours. Having never traveled to Canada, we were very excited about our trip. Since it was the Summer season, we planned to drive a large portion of our journey by car and we were glad we did. The first leg of our trip was flying from Sacramento, CA to Seattle, WA. Landing in Seattle, we rented a car and started off to Calgary. As we enjoyed the gorgeous scenery of both Washington State and Idaho, it was the Canadian countryside that we really looked forward to see. We had mapped out our trip on the internet as we made our vacation plans, and were impressed with her green landscape, wildlife, rivers, streams, waterfalls, hills and mountains. Although the drive to Calgary was not a short one, it gave us a chance to appreciate the wildlife and grand beauty of Canada firsthand. Its one vacation we will never forget, and I made sure of that by taking as many photographs and video shots as possible. Since our journey did not involve any major highways, it gave us a unique opportunity to see many of the smaller towns of Canada. One in particular was a town called "Radium Hot Springs". Radium Hot Springs as it turned out, is home of the World Famous Radium Hot Springs Mineral Pools. You can imagine our surprise when we discovered this wonderful resort town, almost in the middle of nowhere. The town was packed with people! Besides the Hot Springs attractions, Radium Hot Springs has unlimited outdoor activities, great dining, golfing, skiing, Natural Hot Springs pools and the most beautiful scenery you can imagine! As we continued our drive, there were scenic surprises around every corner. We finally arrived in Calgary and the wedding was everything we expected. It was great meeting our friends again and share in their joy. We hope to travel to Calgary again and have a chance to see more of Canada. It was one great experience! |
